We have two days for getting deals - Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On #GivingTuesday, we have a day for giving back. Together, people are creating a new ritual for our annual calendar. #GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season: a reminder of the "reason for the season."

The CDGA Foundation, the charitable organization of the Chicago District Golf Association, funds the Outreach Programs of the CDGA. These programs consist of opportunities for individuals with special needs, veterans and youth.

The Sunshine Through Golf Camp Program brings the values and benefits of the game to more than 1,000 individuals with special needs in the Chicago District golfing community. A cornerstone of the Foundation since 1944, work with veterans employs the therapeutic benefits of golf as part of a structured rehabilitation program for wounded veterans, while also bringing opportunities to active duty military and their families. The Youth on Course program provides affordable access to youth golfers in an effort to grow the game.

Youth on Course is a non-profit organization based in northern California that brings affordable golf to youth ages 6-18. Youth on Course provides its members throughout the country the chance to play rounds of golf for $5 or less. In 2022, the program's sixth full season in the Chicago District, more than 11,000 rounds were played by over 4,500 local Youth on Course members at 54 local courses.

Youth on Course and the CDGA Foundation raise funds to subsidize participating courses the difference between the $5 or less round and their normal junior rate.  This method allows youth access to the game and courses a full tee sheet, future players and increased revenue.
